WA90-WA100: Adaptable, easy-to-maintain compact wheel loaders

Komatsu has launched two new compact wheel loaders that revolutionise this machine class. The WA100M-5 and WA90-5 offer a unique blend of features that make them extremely versatile and easy to service. In addition, an extensive range of options means the machines are ideal for operators of all levels of experience. As a result, customers can maximise their productivity and reduce operating costs in a host of applications such as earthmoving, waste handling, municipal work and other light- and heavy-duty utility jobs.

The new wheel loaders have been designed to meet the needs of a wide range of applications, from industrial to earthmoving. The ‘Easy Fork’ kinematics enables parallel movement and high payloads in pallet fork applications. A hydraulic quick coupler is fitted as standard, allowing rapid switching between the fork and bucket attachments. Highly compact, the machines are ideal for working in confined spaces and a top speed of 30 km/h mean they can quickly move between job sites.

To help customers cut downtime and maintenance costs, the new machines are extremely quick and simple to service. They feature a tiltable cab and longitudinally mounted engine, providing easy access to all machine components. All filters, fillers and gauges are easily reached and the free-standing radiator simplifies cleaning. Furthermore, the machines are fitted with maintenance-free, fully hydraulic wet disc brakes.

The WA100M-5 and WA90-5 deliver unbeatable productivity. The bucket shape guarantees superior penetration and filling, while the rear-axle oscillation provides excellent scooping and stability. The machines boast very high tipping loads, lifting capabilities and dumping heights.

Productivity is further boosted through outstanding visibility and operator comfort levels. With long wheel bases, the machines provide a smooth ride over any surface. Operators will also appreciate the large, ergonomically designed cab with plenty of storage space for personal items. For maximum safety, the cab includes both a falling object protection structure (FOPS) and a roll-over protection structure (ROPS) plus a low-entry step.
