JLG® Electric Scissor Lift—Emergency Descent Procedure

Location Of Manual Descent Control Red T-handle

1. Grasp the T-handle and slowly pull out to lower the scissor arms/platform.
   
2. When the platform is lowered to desired level, allow the T-handle to return to its closed position

From Ground

1. To use auxiliary power the switch must be held down for the duration of the auxiliary pump
2. Use the auxiliary pump functions to provide sufficient oil flow to operate the basic machine functions
3. Should the main pump or engine fail it should be noted that functions will operate at a slower than normal rate.

From Aerial

1. Pull out red imen stop
2. Depress hold down the foot switch
3. Push and hold auxiliary power switch to operate the appropriate control
4. Switch lever or control your function will now work to stop auxiliary power working
5. Release the auxiliary power
6. Take your foot off the foot switch

From Ground

1. Activate auxiliary power from the ground control station by turning key to ground control position
2. Pull out emergency stop
3. Operate the appropriate control switch and then hold down the auxiliary power button
4. Machine will now be able to lower and if you let go of the auxiliary power switch the machine will stop

From Aerial

1. Press and hold the foot switch
2. Hold the auxiliary power button down
3. Use the boom control lever to bring the boom control down
4. Machine will now lower
5. Release auxiliary power switch
6. Machine will now stop
7. Push in emergency stop

From Ground

1. Elevate the main boom lift the platform up into the air
2. Push in the emergency stop switch
3. Pull out the emergency stop
4. Switch and hold the auxiliary power button down
5. Use the boom control lever to bring the Boom room control down

From Aerial

1. Press and hold the foot switch.
2. Hold the auxiliary power button down.
3. Use the boom control lever to bring the boom control down the machine will now lower.
4. Release auxiliary power switch.
5. Machine will now stop.
6. Push in emergency stop.
